New Halayeb Granite
New Halayeb is a finer, more consistent grey granite in the Halayeb family, with an even white-and-grey speckle over a light to mid-grey ground. Its uniformity makes this Egyptian granite popular for large floor areas, kitchens, stairs, outdoor paving and kerbstones, and it is also used for memorial work, in polished, honed or flamed finishes.

About New Halayeb
New Halayeb is the lighter, tighter-grained grey of the Halayeb family and the closest Egyptian granite to a white salt-and-pepper look. Its consistency is the main reason to choose it: kitchens and open-plan floors can be laid from several bundles without obvious changes in tone. Some exporters list a Bianco Halayeb, the pale end of the same deposit; confirm with photos whether a supplier means the same selection. Like other Egyptian granites it is hard, low in absorption and easy to seal, and it takes polished, honed and flamed finishes. Contact us for available sizes and finishes.
Frequently asked questions
Is New Halayeb suitable for kitchen countertops?
Yes. It is one of the most common Egyptian granites for worktops because the light, even speckle hides crumbs and water spots and the stone resists heat and scratching. Polished or honed finishes are both used; seal it for stain resistance.
Can New Halayeb be used outdoors?
Yes. Suppliers state it resists frost, UV and weathering, and it is sold for paving, kerbs, external stairs and facades. Use a flamed or bush-hammered finish on exterior floors for grip.
