About Brown Qusair

Brown Qusair is the brown alternative in a market dominated by grey, red and black Egyptian granites, and suppliers describe its grain as varying noticeably from slab to slab, from pale brown with grey grains to deep chocolate with reddish tones. That variation is part of the appeal for rustic and warm schemes, but it means large floors should be approved from a full bundle rather than a single sample. It is finished polished, honed, flamed or sandblasted and used indoors and out. It pairs with Sunny Dark or Emperador for warm palettes. Contact us for available sizes and finishes.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Brown Qusair granite come from?

Suppliers place it in the Red Sea region of Egypt's Eastern Desert, and the name refers to the port town of Al-Quseir. The exact quarry is not published, so ask the exporter for the origin of a specific bundle.

Is Brown Qusair suitable for countertops?

Yes. It is listed by Egyptian exporters for kitchen countertops, flooring and stairs. Its brown, veined pattern hides marks well, and as a granite it resists heat and scratches once sealed.
