Galala Extra Marble

Galala Extra is the lightest and most uniform grade of Galala, with a clean creamy-white background and minimal mottling. Quarried from the Galala Mountain near Suez, this premium Egyptian marble is selected for projects that need a consistent light tone across large floors, wall cladding and stair runs, usually in honed or polished finishes.

About Galala Extra

Galala Extra is a grade rather than a separate deposit: blocks from the Galala quarries are sorted for the cleanest, palest field, which is why it is often positioned as Egypt's answer to pale Spanish or Italian creams. The trade-off for that uniformity is lower availability and a higher price than classic Galala. It behaves like the parent stone, a dense limestone that polishes well, so polished or honed finishes are the norm indoors and textured finishes for any exterior use. Pairing it with Light Nilo Grey or Katrina gives a quiet, low-contrast palette. Contact us for available sizes and finishes.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Galala Extra more expensive than Galala?

Because it is a selected grade. Only the palest, most uniform blocks from the Galala Mountain quarries qualify, so supply is smaller. Pricing depends on finish, thickness and quantity; request a current quotation for your project.

Is Galala Extra suitable for outdoor cladding?

It shares Galala's dense limestone body, so it can be used for facades and covered exteriors with a honed, brushed or bush-hammered finish. Most buyers reserve it for interiors where its pale, even tone is the main reason for choosing it.
